In the slums of New York City during the 1920s, petty thief Chris Dubois (Jean-Claude Van Damme) finds himself on the run from the police. At the docks, he hides on an outbound freight ship leaving for Asia. Taken in by the mysterious Lord Dobbs (Roger Moore) as the boat docks in Thailand, Dubois is introduced to the underground world of martial arts fighting. His training culminates in a secret battle between the world's greatest fighters that takes place before a select audience in Tibet.

JCVD at its finest. A groundbreaking action film, with beautiful fights, music that fits the genre perfectly, and sleazy acting that gets the job done. A must-see!

One of the best Martial Arts movie in the 90’s. Anyone who dislikes this movie is bonkers. I would put this movie up against the likes of Gone with the Wind, Godfather, Titanic etc. and no this is not me trolling or making a joke. JCVD is a living legend

Filme bacaninha para mais ou menos, o roteiro é mais ou menos, as cenas de luta são bacaninhas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajudou a melhorar o filme, só o van damme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom, o filme colocou um torneio de vários lutadores de outros países, como Alemanha, Japão, Brasil, França, Espanha, e também o Estados Unidos que foi claramente representado pelo Jean Claude Van Damme, que obviamente venceu o torneio, com tudo isso, eu meio que recomendo esse filme com várias cenas de luta que foram boas.

Synopsis
