I had good expectations for this movie based on the critics scores. However, I found this slow in an uninteresting way. There were no redeeming characters. It was gross in an unnecessary fashion. It makes you feel sad for everyone and each animal. I am guessing that the critics must have been trying to kiss up to Steven King and this director with their reviews. I can find no other explanation for the high ratings.

Bit of a damp squib really - I only made it to the end in the hope of some twist or drama but it is slow and depressing and rather disappointing to be honest.
