When cops Schmidt and Jenko join the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover as high-school students. They trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, and set out to shut down a dangerous drug ring. But, as time goes on, Schmidt and Jenko discover that high school is nothing like it was just a few years earlier -- and, what's more, they must again confront the teenage terror and anxiety they thought they had left behind.

Not that the original series was high-brow/must-see television, but I figured any remake of it in the 21st century would at least be far more ambitious than this tired bit of recycling. Go to Full Review Richard Brody The New Yorker Mar 26, 2012

While some original films make it through the cracks, almost everything these days is a sequel, reboot, or remake...our wallets are what do the talking and we keep rewarding Hollywood for this behavior. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Robert P @Superbad 4 days ago This is a very funny Movie to watch!!! See more trey R @RT35655017 Sep 20, 2026 Very funny movie to watch with friends. Lots of laughs with every joke and tons of quotable lines given in the movie. Only thing that doesn't give it the five stars is that the very short young high school part. Very good movie all around. See more olivia 4 @st4rgirlolivia Sep 2, 2026 watched hi as balls. funny. See more Bobby S @BobTheMovieNerd Aug 14, 2026 This movie is a really fun movie about two cops who go back to middle school because they "look young" but everyone sees through it and that is basically it. That's also exactly the reason why it's such a good movie See more David A @David.AT Jul 25, 2026 very funny movie it is completely entertaining and it makes everyone have a great time See more Jace E @thefilmguy Jul 16, 2026 How this movie made me feel in one word: Delighted. "Not so Slim Shady!" This honestly might be the funniest movie that I have ever seen. The dialogue is crisp, the comedic timing is on point and the pacing is balanced. It's quotable and rewatchable, two things that make it a timeless comedy. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are a hilarious duo, but Dave Franco steals every scene that he's in. Best Character: Eric Best Quote: "You bought us Taco Bell!" - Eric Best Scene: H.F.S. at School Best Piece of Score: "Back Together" Note: Nothing like "App" Chemistry.
