A European vacation was intended to repair the tattered relationship between American Jack (Adam Goldberg) and French native Marion (Julie Delpy). But, by the time they arrive in Paris to visit Marion's family, it is clear the trip is not going well. The city brings out aspects of Marion that only alienate neurotic Jack further, from her in-your-face politics to her former boyfriends, who surface in every café. Thus, the most romantic city in the world could mean the end of the couple's romance.

Actress Julie Delpy makes her directing debut with 2 Days in Paris, which is at once a gimlet-eyed love story and a refreshingly cynical take on the French character. Go to Full Review Kaleem Aftab The List Nov 3, 2018

The comedic observations are spot-on and Delpy, who in addition to directing and starring in the film also edited and composed the music, deserves plaudits. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Robert P @Superbad Sep 16, 2026 2 Days in Paris = a *4* star Movie! See more Ben W @Username618 Aug 8, 2026 I thought it was very funny. See more david S @RT29421218 May 26, 2026 As an audience member I just wanted to jump into the screen and beat the Adam Goldberg character to a pulp. One of the most annoying characters ever in the history of cinema. See more Elodie M @RT08509106 Apr 9, 2026 Wow what a painful watch this was. The actors are clearly improvising and the 'acting' is atrocious. No one has such antagonistic and beliquose relations with their family, no one would be making jokes about your daughter's partner's appearance (in front of him, no less), no one would be chopping up a whole rabbit minutes before eating it. Even in France. And I'm French. This is an atrocious and unfunny movie full of silly clichés. Don't waste your time. See more Nicki K @RT40318624 Aug 27, 2025 One star off for the lame ending. The last five minutes reminded me of a diary rant I had in my 30's, still unmarried. Yeah ok relatable but so what. See more KOOKLA C @Kookla49 Nov 16, 2024 Funny but got dull because it was the same silly jokes and nothing really happens. It's cute but I could only sit thru half before becoming super bored.
