Vixo S @vixo_six 1d Alien vs. Predator kept me at a distance during its first half because the human drama feels predictable and some of the writing is too obvious. Lance Henriksen’s presence also confused me because I expected a clearer connection to what I remembered from Alien 3. Once the creatures take over, however, the movie becomes much more enjoyable. The action has several genuinely great moments, the practical effects give the fights real physical weight, and the story finally gives the Predator mythology a clearer sense of ritual and purpose. I especially liked the idea of humans being trapped between two species operating by completely different rules. It is not as frightening as Alien or as entertaining as the original Predator, but as a monster crossover made with obvious affection for both franchises, it worked much better for me once the hunt actually began. The way they handled the alliance between Lex and the Predator could have been better. It was just too cheesy. Then, obviously the PG-13 rating was a mistake. An Alien or Predator movie should only have an R rating. They pulled a lot of punches making it PG-13. If you're a fan, it's a must watch. Anyone else, can probably skip it. See more K G @KatyG-S Jul 15 Whoever wins, crossovers lose (in times). Watching it alone, the tagine was misleading, no xenomorphs or predators mashing mankind, which we are. Mankind are not losers! Wasn't it "Jurassic World" before "Jurassic World"? Because it was a movie about a group going on some field trip adventure to discover some dangerous race & they may face danger of them. What were those movies like? Bad! Did you complain about Alexa Woods ruling the group over all other men until I swore I saw another woman. BTW, a fraction of the acting was bad - a man facing danger - "shit". When I saw that green inner xenonorph in the end, was it trying to be cute? Was it trying to br funny? Was it a cliffhanger? As a result, I might just find the 2007 sequel. Right now, I may be watching "Fight Club" of "Hide & Seek". Driving around FOX. See more The W @TheWagners Jul 5 This movie was pretty okay, the human characters actually had some backstory and the fights with the alien and predator were pretty awesome. The only part I really hate is how a predator teams up with a human, I just can't see that happening. It makes it seem like he's a cool guy and not a vicious hunter.
