A Russo Brothers' ABGO production starring Natalia Dyer and Asa Butterfield, All Fun and Games explores the elements of cruelty inherent in children's games -- Flashlight Tag, Hangman, Hide & Seek -- and what happens when the games go too far. When a group of teens find a cursed knife in the woods, they unleash a malevolent demon that will not rest until it's claimed all of their lives and souls in a terrifying deathmatch.

All Fun and Games doesn’t use this backstory to complicate or deepen the terrors of its present action... It just stabs itself in the foot and then struggles to run towards its finish line after a strong if straightforward opening act.

Despite its catchy title and very recognizable cast for those under 25, All Fun and Games cannot get out of the labyrinth of confusion that it enters of its own volition. [Full review in Spanish]

The modest suspense achieved by some scenes and the welcome commitment to cut straight to the bone – it lasts 75 minutes – place All Fun and Games barely just a little step above the most basic films in the genre. [Full review in Spanish]

Refreshingly lean, this horror movie tells a familiar story, but its strength lies in its vivid character relationships, its haunted location, and the real-world consequences for actions taken.

It's actually impressive to make a 75-minute film feel interminable. Just nothing here works. The completely disjointed setup - "these are my brothers." Who cares? We don't know who you are, we don't care who your brothers are. The breathy voiceover - "Bhut Sahlhehm hhas a hhistoryh" - girl, why are you talking like it's a '90s ad for an adult hotline? "Sahlhehm" really didn't need to feature in here at all, actually. You can tell a story about a curse without trivializing real people's horrific murders. I mean, there's just not much redeeming material here. Erm...the youngest actor isn't "Full House"-levels of bad acting, just everyone else is? Sorry that this "compliment sandwich" had to stay open-faced. One of the reviewers here seemingly OD'd because of this movie in 2023. Hope ya pulled through, John K.
