bruce F @bruce999 Aug 4, 2026 fun movie, as Gary Cooper is mistaken to be a 'bad' guy terrorizing the area. And a woman, who is friends of the bad guy, helps him get away. Its kind of slow paced sometimes, but its a good western, enjoyable to watch. See more John S @RT82984916 Jul 6, 2025 Along Came Jones is a fantastic Western,a true classic! See more Martin B @RT44235356 Feb 17, 2023 Loretta young is radiant, it's impossible to takes your eyes off her. There is literally only one person that could play Jones effectively and that's Gary Cooper. Just a fun movie wondering how Jones will muddle through the mess he doesn't seem to mind being in. William Demarest playing his one character actor part to perfection and critical to the plot. Poor Dan Duryea. Cast as the bad guy, sleazy guy literally all the time and he did it well for sure. I don't know how you can not like that movie. See more steve d @RT35616104 Jul 22, 2020 Cooper makes it fun. See more ashley h @ashleyhobgood87 Nov 20, 2016 Along Came Jones is an amazing film. It is about good-natured saddle tramp traveling with his sidekick who are mistaken for a ruthless outlaw. Gary Cooper and Loretta Young give excellent performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Stuart Heisler did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the romance. Along Came Jones is a must see. See more Jan 17, 2015 Poor Melody Jones, a simple soul, a good cowboy who has never really developed skill with firearms, gets himself mistaken for notorious western badman Monty Jarrad. Same general build, same initials and both are known to hang around with a cantankerous old timer. A recipe for trouble?... A sly satire of the very genre in which it resides--Gary Cooper, William Demarest, Dan Duryea & Loretta Young join forces in this Entertaining Western Farce... Saddle Bums on the run!!
