Vance S @Vmench 4h I could have given this five stars. It has an excellent plot outline. The acting is fine. The scripting and direction is abysmal. Apparently 100,000 light years in our own Galaxy isn't enough so they have to go 2.5 million light years to catch the rogue AI. All of this in a future where humans apparently have not colonized any other planets even in our own solar system. Idiot plot devices abound. It's still worth watching but the script was written by fools. Setting this on Mars would have made logical sense and made this far more coherent. Stop treating the audience like 4-year-olds. See more Hunter G @RottenTomatoesFactChecket Jul 23 As I have not yet seen this on Netflix, I’m looking at the film’s poorly received reviews (even if it has a high streaming success) & I’m definitely seeing a larger pattern on how the newer films by Brad Peyton are getting review bombed by critics/audiences on Rotten Tomatoes & it really begins to heavily mirror to the recent works by Zack Snyder (I technically described Brad Peyton as Canada’s version to Zack Snyder in terms on how hard his films were review bombed) as we’ll definitely see how his upcoming Amazon film "The Kellys" will do & I would best describe it as a major test to his career before his (hopefully) film which will adapt the Bakugan anime series. Another clarification is that the film being review bombed was definitely inevitable after it had finished filming in 2022 without a theatrical distributor before getting dumped to Netflix amid the 2023 Hollywood labor dispute.
