Big Baby leaves a few things on the table, but it’s unusual and impactful enough to be worth watching. Go to Full Review

"Big Baby" isn’t perfect, but it has a lot to say about the horror industry and the impact that rage-baiting and social media tactics have on creatives and the culture around us. Go to Full Review

Like Little Bites before it, Big Baby proves that Spider One has little interest in making horror that’s simply about the monster. He’s far more fascinated by the people haunted by it. Go to Full Review

Spider One’s Big Baby is a lean and mean slasher that gives rebooted iconic IPs a run for their money. It takes the best parts of Friday the 13th and Scream and molds them to Spider One’s distinct writing and directing style. Go to Full Review

What could have been a sharp satire instead becomes a joyless, tonally scattered slog that spends more time explaining its ideas than earning them. Go to Full Review

Suggesting uninformed film criticism triggers psychotic...episodes in the lives of mediocre, mid-tier creatives, Spider One's Big Baby flounders its own formula, failing to satirize the targets of its ire, sinking beneath the waves of listless solipsism. Go to Full Review

M T @TheMichaelandTrevorShow 20h I was lucky enough to get a screener of the new horror from, Big Baby, by director and writer Spider One. Without spoiling, this is a pretty interesting idea of a horror movie filled with great gore and practical FX. I actually thought the ending had a good twist for me and of course the Big Baby character looked pretty good, with some tweaks this could actually be a pretty cool franchise. What fell flat for me was mostly pacing, writing and quality of the film. I’m no writer but I feel like with a shorter, more punchy, scrip and condensing this down to 90 minutes would have sped the story up more, cut out some fluff and kept me more engaged. As to the quality, you can tell this isn’t a large or even mid tier budget film which has its positives and negatives to it. The lighting, costumes and acting in some parts is a little suspect but yet adds to the “direct to video/ Tubi” feel this movie has which appeals to a certain crowd.
