Critics Consensus

Bound's more titillating elements attracted attention, but it's the stylish direction, solid performances, and entertaining neo-noir caper plot that make it worth a watch.

Bound is so self-consciously noir, so endlessly stylised, that its few new tricks never quite make up for the dead weight of homage.

This is an erotic thriller where eroticism is the agent of redemption, not damnation.

Like so many other rob-the-mob movies, the plan seems pretty far-fetched, and the ending isn’t much of a surprise. But if you like your films sprinkled liberally with sex, violence and humor, then you’re bound to like "Bound."

Bound isn't just the Wachowskis best film. It's also possibly the best thriller of the 90s.

A steamy crime thriller (and significant LGBTQ film) that contains more suggestive double entendres in its dialogue than perhaps any movie this side of Double Indemnity.

This movie was amazing, perfect casting, transitions were crazy and it was people's gay awakening I just love this movie, it's absolutely perfect, the chemistry between the actors was a chef's kiss. We have freaky time and crime and the ending was so good💯 I love love love this movie

Well this movie was good as advertised. The two leading ladies were especially good. Two women take on the mob and find a way to rob them of two million dollars. Brilliant writing and directing and the end credit song of she's a lady was great. Tillys voice is so intoxicating and sexy. The bad guys were really good and intimidating. Tim Treakle

For some reason, I never saw this movie up until today. It was very good. Great story, the two lady's were perfect in their roles. Good mafia flick from the perspective of the women, along with a pretty steamy scene between the two of them. Satisfying ending.
