Critics Consensus

Though it's gimmicky and occasionally feels like a high-end cell phone ad, Cellular is also an energetic and twisty thriller.

Why do you keep casting older actresses as mothers of little kids? Kim Basinger was 51 in this movie. Why give her a little son? WHY??? Just make her his grandmother and the whole thing makes a lot more sense. See more Dave L @RT29131586 Feb 9, 2026 This was a fast paced thriller that was well written and with a good cast.
