Wellington C @RT42408839 02/05/2025 To be honest, I had misguided expectations about the film's theme, so the beginning was confusing and a bit boring at times. But it didn't take that much long for me to become fully engaged with everything it presented. A family drama that goes through mystery, fantasy, comedy, romance, and even suspense. Some scenes made me want to jump off a cliff, and others just felt too close to my own. One of the few negative points worth noting: the editing is inconsistent. As much as I enjoyed the different genres, which made the story dynamic, the editing is distracting. Still, a great film, with a great family story and good performances. The story is not just about Phillip's life but also those around him. It's filled with emotions. The pain and chaos of a disfunctional family,that best friend that you couldn't be without growing up, first love, betrayal, hope and resilience. The message is simple: be vulnerable, dare to love but have the courage to move on if they are not right for you. It is bittersweet, but then again most gay romance stories are. See more 04/30/2020 'Center Of My World' é um filme sobre diálogo, todas aberturas e todos desfechos giram em torno de diálogos, que em sua maioria são longos, mas que revelam importantes acontecimentos do passado que são indispensáveis para acompanhar a trama central e suas ramificações, que embora sejam pouco desenvolvidas, conseguem preencher momentos importantes. Esse é um dos poucos filmes em que a homofobia não tem espaço como principal problema, aqui ela parece nem estar presente, já que a principal tribulação são os problemas familiares e de relacionamento, que contribuem para um clima denso a todo momento. Toda jornada do jovem garoto gay é marcada por situações dolorosas e sensíveis, e são essas situações responsáveis de fazer com que o final soe como um suspiro, mesmo que não agrade todo mundo.
