Two years after serial killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif) inserted his soul into a Chucky doll, a toy company attempts to re-create the doll, bringing Ray back in the process. The possessed doll, intent on claiming a human body, kills his way toward former owner Andy (Alex Vincent), who now lives in a foster home. Andy's foster sister, Kyle (Christine Elise), tries to protect him, but his foster parents believe Andy is just a troubled kid -- and Chucky's murderous path continues.

Only in the highly orchestrated, surprisingly gory climax, wherein Chucky's plastic form takes on the sins of the flesh, is there a spark of originality.

An inevitable sequel that's not as good as its progenitor, but better than most movies with the numbers 2 through 8 in their titles.

Some of the novelty is gone but, overall, it's still an inventive, cleverly done, often scary outing.

The sequel leans fully into its worst instincts and somehow that's exactly what makes it work. Child's Play 2 is funnier, meaner, and far more comfortable with how much it enjoys being evil.

The film is surprisingly well-shot with all kinds of strange angles and unsettling spaces, notably the toy factory where the climactic showdown takes place.

Mancini has big things to say about capitalism aimed at kids, though they don't always come across as well as in other portions of the franchise.

its not a good movie im sorry. but so many sceans are so iconic the ruler the ending chase all of it the effects for chucky oh how the comedy is the perfect amount not to overbearing like the ones after this movie. but the movie itself is mid. the chracters are just mid Kyle and Andy are amazing but everyone else is just there and not even there and funny just there and pointless. its a good time with some friends but on your own your board 78% of the movie but the other 22% is gold

Some of the kills are tame here, but Chucky having to rip off his hand, and placing a knife in his gory wound is awesome sauce. Child's Play 2 has the best Chucky death ever! Great puppetry and animatronic use for the menacing moments. Brad Dourif is always a riot when he gets to drop a funny one liner. 8.5/10

Entertaining. Not that bad as a sequel, but very forgettable if not for the ending. The evil doll is well‑made, and the rest of the effects are decent. Adequate direction, a script with shortcomings, and a decent cast. As we know, this franchise keeps going and is a pop culture icon. This entry isn’t much different from what came after, so if you like the story, have some more.

Quase tudo enrolação até o final na fábrica de brinquedos, mas o final na fábrica de brinquedos é sensacional.
