Critics Consensus

Cold Pursuit delivers the action audiences expect from a Liam Neeson thriller -- along with humor and a sophisticated streak that make this an uncommonly effective remake.

The director seems to take greater delight in laboriously killing off his characters than he does in delivering jokes.

The dark humor that made [the original] really daring, strange, and cool just somehow gets lost here.

It nails its tone as an offbeat black comedy, managing to balance the macabre and the silly.

Cold Pursuit has a quirky sense of humour, especially in the graphics that appear on screen after each evil character is dispatched.

Sometimes it’s a struggle to find the humanity in anyone. And that’s without getting into the ending and the head-scratching loose ends it leaves dangling.

Cold Pursuit’s streaks of brutal cold humor have more bite than your average dark-comedy.

Decent movie but cancel culture decided to tank the movie for his commentary on race.

This movie honestly reminded me of the Estevez/Sheen movie "Men at Work." Yes, it's that bad. Tom Bateman almost single-handedly turns this movie -- attempting to be serious -- into a joke. Absurdity reigns here; the number of flat-out stupid holes in the story are too numerous to list. Do yourself a favor and skip this movie. It's complete crap.

I've not seen the original version but is under 2 hours of boring action revenge thriller and the dark humor doesn't hit the target and Liam is still doing he's best for doing action movies but this remake doesn't safe it.
