Cordelia has all the ingredients to be a truly great film, but at best, by the time the final credits run, it almost feels generous to even call it an even particularly good one. Go to Full Review Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com May 20, 2022

Cordelia doesn’t stay tethered to what we would call reality. And the way it doesn’t stay tethered is what gives the movie its distinctive quality. Go to Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times May 19, 2022
Enigmatic and imperfect, but nonetheless absorbing and consistently unsettling, “Cordelia” offers a haunting visualization of a breaking-apart psyche. Go to Full Review Nuha Hassan Nuha Hassan (Medium) Sep 4, 2023
Cordelia begins as an interesting psychological thriller but loses its balance during the second half of the movie. It has all the ingredients for a good movie, with an interesting and dynamic performance by Campbell-Hughes and Flynn. Go to Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT Jul 4, 2022
Unfortunately, the final act does not deliver in the way it should. The lead up is great, but it does not provide the impact that it should. After a well constructed first hour, things feel rushed in the final thirty minutes. Go to Full Review Sarah Musnicky Nightmarish Conjurings May 27, 2022

It has all the right elements to make for a decent psychological thriller, but the film's final act frustrates more than shocks. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Gerry M @GermWald May 24, 2024 Never watch this ever again [note to self] See more Courtney K @c0urtn3y Sep 10, 2023 i found this to be incredibly boring. See more Ken R @RT36478503 Sep 4, 2023 Cordelia – Style With Little Substance It felt like I had seen this all before (think; Polanski's The Tennant & Repulsion) all the way through to the non-ending. Every so often writers and movie makers want to create a beguiling work that leaves audiences perplexed, they think they're being clever (maybe they are), but when audiences sit for over an hour and a half, when they leave, they understandably want something to take with them that feels complete. While some think it's creative to simply give out assorted clues, so others can think they're smart enough to unravel them – most will feel let down when everything they thought they saw, maybe didn't happen at all. It's stylish, well played out, but ultimately unpleasant and unsatisfying, with a script that's possibly as thin as the co-writer/main star. If you like movies with endless loose ends, and nothing to tie them together, this is the show for you. See more Aug 30, 2023 Another stupid movie the director decides to end randomly without actually filming an ending! Movies like this are a complete insult to their audiences, demanding over an hour of their time to not deliver any conclusion. Imagine the first Star Wars movie, if George Lucas was to just end the movie before Skywalker fired the missiles that destroyed the Death Star, leaving the audience to wonder WTF?!? That’s what this movie and others like it do! GARBAGE. See more Ron S @RT83458997 Jun 8, 2023 This movie just does not hang together well and ends in a disappointing manner. See more Joe C @JoeinAtl May 25, 2022 Amateur Hitchcock. It's well done, wonderful decaying London sets, players all competent if a little obvious, mood straight from Guillermo Del Toro. Co-written by the star, it tries to do too much in throwing in quite a few psycho-drama tropes. Everyone involved may turn out to be great at something, just not this. See more Read all reviews
