Andrew S @Malasita Jul 6, 2026 Gangster film that takes place in the future. See more camille l @RT76374992 Feb 6, 2016 Les films de Miike Takashi se ressemblent quand même beaucoup. See more Jun 18, 2012 The final installment takes us into the future where a gay leader has started drugging the public with birth control in his efforts to control the breeders. Our two leads return as a cop and a mysterious blonde android on opposite sides of the resistance movement, which leads into some fun action bits anbd culminates in a truly head scratching finale. Well worth a peep, recommended. See more Jun 12, 2011 WTF? This takes a different turn. It's in the future where the government makes people take drugs. There are a bunch of robot people and the two main characters are enemies in this one... it's pretty weird. I see a theme in Takashi Mike's movies about merging the good and evil together... not sure what was up with the penis head, but whatever. The opening was pretty bad ass, but it slows down a bit afterwards. See more May 1, 2011 Sadly the weakest of the DOA trilogy but it's still a lot of fun and it does contain a bonkers ending. This seems to be a satire of sorts on sci-fi movies with nods to Blade Runner, The Matrix and The Terminator. The story is nothing new, and even the characters are easily understood and familiar, but there is something about Miike's gritty take on the conventions of genres and cinema that gives it an originality. Who else but Miike could make three completely different and unrelated movies and tie them all together into a package that is both confusing and cohesive? Okay, so the ending is nuts but it was typical of Miike. Expect the unexpected from him! Riki Takeuchi and Sho Aikawa are once again brilliant in their leading roles and have been in all 3 movies. There's a lot to like in this movie: a good sense of humour, exciting action and some very beautiful moments. It's a great finish to the series. You could criticise it for being a bit cheesy, but isn't that part of the charm? See more Read all reviews
