An ambitious white reporter, David Katz (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), gets an assignment covering rappers Damon Dash (Capone) and Jay-Z (Robert Stapleton), during which he tries to insinuate himself into the hip-hop world. When he overhears an executive telling Damon that his career at record label Roc-A-Fella is done, David is the first to report it, which gains him notoriety and his own column at a leading hip-hop magazine. Unfortunately, he also ignites a bitter feud between Damon and Jay-Z.

This narcissistic mockumentary is less a film than a full-length promotional video for Roc-a-Fella Records mogul/director Damon Dash.

A mockumentary that veers unsteadily between satire and an infomercial for Dash's Roc-A-Fella records.

Watching Damon Dash's playful movie is like entering a room where a large, too noisy party is going on and never fully adjusting to the dark or the din.

Truly terrible for plenty of reasons, not the least of which being Damon Dash's barely competent directing.

Idiotic mockumentary style comedy, with laughs very very scarce. It is mostly obnoxious and stupid.
