Mica B. @Mica_B 4d Terrible writing and terrible plot. The acting was pretty good. I saw a lot of complaints about the acting, but to be honest, the script was terrible, so I'd say the actors did good for what they had to work with. The characters made absolutely stupid decisions, and ignoring the ending/reveal for a second here; at least a couple of the dudes that died could've survived had these dumb characters actually reacted and used their guns instead of standing there all dumb-founded. Why drop your pistol or rifle for your knife? What kind of doofus does that? The ending and the reveal was disappointing to be honest. I wasn't expecting it, sure, but it was still... bad... There was a lack of explainations, leaving it extremely ambiguous. The little that was there didn't make sense considering how some of the scenes turned out. I guess this was supposed to be a ghost story? I thought it was going to be a physical monster, but whatever, I can sometimes do a ghost story, as long as it's good, which this is not. The ghost or whatever it's supposed to be was stupid and so underwhelming. This had such an interesting premise too, but it was such a let-down. The acting is a major reason why the movie is compelling as its story is a character-driven one. The paranormal elements add a nice touch to the horrors of war theme, but the ending raises more questions than it answers. The picture quality isn't great and it is dull to look at. It's quite a good horror movie. It was not scary enough to be amazing or memorable. The ending was a little confusing. You really got a good sense of how claustrophobic it was in those mazes that were the trenches but other than that it's really not that engaging. It never got boring however it was never hugely exciting. It was well made with high production value and some bits were exciting. Downside is that it was forgettable and not engaging enough.
