Critics Consensus

Lacking enough material for a full-length movie, D.E.B.S. is short on both plot and laughs.

As much as D.E.B.S. was a passion project for [filmmaker Angela] Robinson... it is foremost a fun, silly action comedy about sends up Charlie's Angels.

It's so spoofy it's difficult to call 'good' or even 'bad'; just say it's smooth.

D.E.B.S. stands for "Discipline. Energy. Beauty. Strength." But it might as well stand for "Daft. Earnest. Banal. Sophomoric."

The action sequences tend to lack urgency and suspense, and they're actually rather boring. The love story is the interesting part, and it's both a product of its time and ahead of it

As with the majority of the most eminently watchable films of that period, sometimes it is best not to ask 'how good,' but rather 'how gay.'

D.E.B.S. is an enemies-to-lovers fairy tale romance stuffed with parody. Critics seem to have missed this almost completely, which is honestly a little worrying. If you can't spot that this is a fairy tale, you won't enjoy any of this; it just won't make sense. Where it loses half a star is that the script and editing could have been tighter.
