Now that Gru has forsaken a life of crime to raise Margo, Agnes and Edith, he's trying to figure out how to provide for his new family. As he struggles with his responsibilities as a father, the Anti-Villain League, an organization dedicated to fighting evil, comes calling. The AVL sends Gru on a mission to capture the perpetrator of a spectacular heist, for who would be better than the world's greatest ex-villain to capture the individual who seeks to usurp his power.

The strongest installment in the franchise and had some good humor and an actually good plot. It was also very memorable and had some of the best moments and fights in the franchise. I would usually say this for like some really heavy movies or some movies where like it is action-centered, but this comedy and family-friendly movie managed to hit all those notes unexpectedly. The song choices as well were very top tier. The villain is my favorite villain mainly because it was very well-written and was vicious. The female lead was a good addition as well and fit into the story. Love this movie and rewatchingnit was the beat decision I have made.

The B plot in the despicable me movies are vital to the quality of the movie, this b plot wasn’t as strong as the other films B plots but everything else was fine.
