Call me simple minded but I thought the movie was a real thrill! The Bond woman wasn't too bad either and had some badass moments! See more Wayne K @WayneKelso Jul 9 I’ve always been a big fan of Pierce Brosnan and his run as 007, but even I struggle to defend Die Another Day, which has become the Nickelback of Bond films: the perpetual punching bag that people will likely lambast even if they haven’t seen it. Light on coherence, scientific accuracy and common sense, with a script that’s painfully on the nose and stuffed with forced puns and action scenes that lean way more on CGI than the series ever had, and bad CGI at that. Brosnan gives it his all as usual, and Halle Berry makes a great counterpart for him, but with a villain’s plan so convoluted its really hard to grasp the stakes, and while the action might be fun, the aforementioned dodgy effects just make them feel cheap and unimpactful. Like Moore with A View To A Kill, Brosnan departed the series after his weakest entry. Retrospection has been kinder to him, a grace most certainly not afforded to Die Another Day. See more Nishant M @Nishant08 Jul 2 I know this movie isn't everyone's favorite, but I really enjoyed it. Pierce Brosnan was great as Bond, and the action kept me interested from start to finish. The movie is full of exciting moments, cool gadgets, and it never feels boring. Some parts are a bit over the top, and the CGI doesn't look great today, but that didn't stop me from having fun. I watched it to be entertained, and it did exactly that. It's not a perfect Bond movie, but it's one I will happily watch again. See more Read all reviews
