Derek D @Derek315 2h Sure there’s action- fast driving, guns, violence and in that sense it delivers. But the plot is a big BLAH. Same movie we’ve all seen over and over and over again. Guy somehow has incredible combat skills out living a normal life as a lone wolf. He meets a pretty single mom and we see them develop feelings. Then something happens, and the main character is "forced" to reveal his "dark" side in order to save the girl and beat the bad guys. Then he succeeds and saves the day. Sorry to spoil the movie lol. See more O G @RT76089177 Feb 25 The fact Drive is considered one of the best action thrillers of the last 20 years tells you everything you need to know about the cultural bankruptcy of Hollywood and the cinema of the Anglosphere in that time period See more Jay W @RT52162311 Feb 23 Drive also means Motivation: This film feels like a modern western. We have a nameless man who blows into town and helps a family who he grows attached to. Ryan Gosling, who plays the nameless driver, is mainly very quiet, letting his actions do the talking. It is a tightly written 100-minute movie that lets the silence speak volumes. Don't expect a ton of action, this isn't "Baby Driver" or "Transporter". This movie is a bare bones story, letting the visuals and montage communicate to the audience the driver's emotional journey. Overall, a real good movie. See more Read all reviews
