Bret M. @BretM-3 Mar 19 I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, but I do think it has one big issue that I’ll get to later. As for positives, Robert Englund is still awesome as Freddy Krueger and gives (yet again) a very fun performance as the character and arguably has some of the most screentime he’s ever had. I think the element of Freddy having an unknown child was a great twist that added a great idea to this movie I wasn’t expecting. I also enjoyed the fun aspects of this movie. In particular, I thought the video game scene was hilarious! It looks so dated now, but I really like it. The outdated VFX gives a classic charm. My biggest complaint with this movie was the runtime. It felt to me that, for this movie being the original “epic conclusion” to the Nightmare movies, it really felt too short to me. It was over just as soon as it started and it made the movie feel less momentous to me.Overall, I thought this was a very solid Nightmare movie that had some fun but ultimately still leaned into its horror roots See more Stanny R @StannyMC Mar 11 I didn’t mind this film at all, after not enjoying parts 4-5 I didn’t have high expectations, but it’s fun. Some very good effects going off throughout and some genuinely funny moments. Shon Greenblatt as "John" is a bit wooden and the lore is all over the place. Freddy’s makeup isn’t as strong as previous entries and the dream demon things are ridiculous. But overall I’d say check it out, has some fun scenes. See more Darrin G. @realwildchild76 Mar 8 Although this is easily one of the worst Freddy films in the original series, my admiration for the character & actor Robert Englund automatically improves its overall rating for me: I’m not sure what the purpose of this movie is which at times is almost comedic. New Line Cinema decided to end the series with this sixth entry and literally send Freddy off with a bang.  The story introduces the daughter of Freddy who by the end of the film realizes who she is. The remaining children of Springwood are being haunted & hunted by Freddy who also has plans to expand his reach beyond the town. Some of the death scenes - Carlos in particular - is one of the best of the series. If I remember right there is only three deaths/kills in this movie?!?  This was the first Freddy movie that I saw in a movie theater and I’m not sure how in 1991 when I was fourteen that I accomplished this. The 3-D ending was lame even back then. Spoiler alert Freddy would be back for two more movies and a remake.
