Abhishek Bachchan reminds you in bits of his illustrious father (Amitabh Bachchan appears in a cameo here) especially when he is delivering a sozzled monologue, but remains a trope.

Ghoomer drags on for a little too long and has some familiar clichés that are often found in movies about sports underdogs. However, the performances of Saiyami Kher and Abhishek Bachchan are impactful. The cricket matches are also thrilling to watch.

For more than half its runtime, Ghoomer is a decent but predictable sports drama with a committed Abhishek Bachchan performance. It's when the protagonist's comeback begins is when it starts stretching credulity and turns into a cringefest.

An amazing and inspiring movie. Definitely show your kids. It's not just a cricket movie but a movie about overcoming adversity, passion, grit and determination. Was absolutely amazed and we all had a lovely experience. Abhishek was amazing and so was Shabana Azmi. Fantastic acting by everyone. Brilliant direction. Definitely watch it.
