A very good movie - heart warming, funny, some very good "reminders" (life lessons) for all. If you're hyper religious, don't take offense - remember it's just a movie that reminds us all that we're human and in need of some type of redemption.

Judy Davis is an amazing actress and she still ‘has it’ in spades. It’s unfortunate that she wasted her best talent on this silly show. The humour was remarkably thin and was generally cringeworthy. Calling a horse race with ‘golden showers’ running; having an eight year old making the error between the words ‘excommunication’ and ‘prostitution’ was just plain silly and gormless. No, even Judy couldn’t save this show….

Disappointing given the array of talent on board. Tired storyline (the drunk and betting priest, really?) and too much religious nonsense for this viewer. Missed so many marks and comedic delivery apart from Miriam Margolyes was just not there. The child lead didn’t do anything to aid the movie. Even the director taking a role couldn’t save this one. So many better films on offer at present.
