See more Sponge B @RT02640473 Jul 25 One of my favorite marvel movies. I think its criminally underrated. I don't really understand why so many people dislike it. I heard people thought it was boring or too serious. I don't really understand the serious point of view however the action I can understand but personally it satisfied me. People also complained about the comic panels, I do see why it could be argued that it was overused. But I like how experimental the entire movie was. I really liked the relationship with Bruce and his father even though his father was not very comic book accurate. I really enjoyed the themes of the movie and how it shows trauma through the hulk. My favourite part of the movie was probably the Danny Elfman theme. Really melancholic and I think it fits the hulk and this movie perfectly. Again one of my favourite themes of marvel and probably my favourite theme of Danny Elfman. I prefer this over spider-man and batman despite them being more popular. See more Warren V @Warren187 Jul 23 This is a really good movie, yes, it may be long and bit too little action, it really does a deep dive into Hulk's character rather than just being a green man that smashes things, the film goes deeper, down to his traumatic past, the CGI also aged really well and is the best portrayal of Hulk put to film. Ang Lee went for the bold move here, and told one of the best character driven anti-hero stories of a dysfunctional family destroyed by ambition and the human nature to play God(and the consequences that follow). Hulk, for me anyway, is a behemoth of emotional turmoil when you ultimately discover how relatable Bruce Banner's story is to the human condition. The best path forward is always inwards, and going inwards leads to terrifying discoveries and when you are terrified of the monster inside you, you only have one question to consider... Do you hide from it and pretend it doesn't exist? Or do you embrace it and rediscover who you truly are? Most people went into this movie wanting to see The Incredible Hulk smash (and to be fair you do get "some" of that) but in my opinion you get so much more with this story. It hits on a level that I think went over most people's heads to be honest.
