Once the premise kicks into high gear, Hush reveals itself as a finely craved one-trick pony. Go to Full Review

An effectively straightforward exercise in suspense, one that further positions Flanagan-who also made the year's well-received Ouija prequel-as a filmmaker with a strong grasp on horror's fundamentals. Go to Full Review

It’s a typical home invasion movie and the twist of having a deaf protagonist is inventive and works well. Go to Full Review

In the realm of suspense, 'Hush' stands out as a tightly wound thriller, driven by Kate Siegel’s performance and Mike Flanagan’s direction, which never misses a beat. Go to Full Review

With time and texture, it’s clear that star / co-writer Kate Siegel and director / co-writer Mike Flanagan are emitting a primal scream about power dynamics. "Hush" feels like a social howl shrewdly smuggled into the guise of genre entertainment. Go to Full Review

Jacob B @JB3.0 53 min ago A straightforward micro-budget thriller from Mike Flanagan, Hush makes the most out of its brief runtime with a sinister performance from John Gallagher Jr., tension that barely lets up once it starts and good writing. It's definitely enjoyable to see ways in which our heroine can be resourceful even with her limitations. Hush is by no means breaking new ground but it's still a well-crafted film in its own right that demonstrates why some believe that Mike Flanagan is the best thing to happen to the horror/thriller genres since sliced bread. See more Hugh W @Hugbert 7 hrs ago Genuinely horrible movie that was completely thrown off the whole horror vibe by the main character just being idiotic. Took her an hour and 14 mins to do something somewhat smart. Spent the whole movie aggravated at how someone’s survival skills in a life or death situation can be so dumb, truly shows how some writers can’t make a movie that is somewhat good in the slightest. Honestly wouldn’t recommend at all. See more Leonard E @RT22414378 1 day ago Its ehhhhh, there are lots of times she can easily kill the killer but because of the plot she doesnt. Another one of those horror movies where logic and common sense just suddenly seem to vanish at important times. If youre looking for a horror movie or suspensful movie and cant find anything to watch, this may be it for you. See more Ben O @RT21564949 Sep 28, 2026 Is there a giant gas leak in this town??? Why is everyone so stupid??? This movie is truly unbearable to watch, because it will make you want to rip your hair out in frustration. The first window scene when she hits him in the arm and not the head with the hammer, when the boyfriend is choking out the antagonist and she does nothing, the chase scene where she has the crossbow and instead of using an arrow to stab him point blank she repeatedly tries to load the crossbow, and then when she stabs him in the arm AGAIN instead of the face in the bathtub.... (just to name a few,) so many times she could have easily killed him. Not to mention the boyfriend or antagonist weren't very bright either. I get that you have to take some liberties to keep viewers engaged, but this was downright silly. See more Shauna J @RT79083112 Sep 6, 2026 Home invasion thrillers are inherently terrifying (to me), and Hush elevates the horror by focusing on a deaf/mute protagonist. The villain was scary with the mask, and only became more alarming without it. Very solid movie. See more Evan P @RT61326962 Aug 27, 2026 Hush is a ok horror movie that was dragged out and boring at times but still worth checking out. See more Read all reviews
