Scrat's continuous pursuit of an infernal acorn has world-changing consequences for Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo) and Diego (Denis Leary) when the continents split apart. The continental crack-up separates Manny and his friends from the rest of the herd, including Manny's mate, Ellie (Jennifer Lopez) and rebellious daughter Peaches (Keke Palmer). The pals are desperate to return home, but a pirate (Peter Dinklage) and his ragtag crew stand in their way.

Critics Consensus

Ice Age: Continental Drift 3D has moments of charm and witty slapstick, but it often seems content to recycle ideas from the previous films.

Never mind that the freshness of the original Ice Age and its main characters Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary), and Sid (John Leguizamo) has dissipated. How many series could sustain themselves at all through a fourth iteration?

Yes, this is the part where I outsource my critical role to my children. If you are the kind of person who (quite understandably) abhors this particular gimmick, you may wish to stop reading now.

Feels less like Ice Age 4 than Ice Age 1.4.

Ice Age: Continental Drift isn't much more than a paint-by-numbers animated feature with a positive, pro-family message.

Just sort of sits on the screen, going through the motions for 90 minutes or so. It's neither good nor bad and, unless you are under the age of 8, you'll likely forget it by the time you get home.

Still in my Ice Age era. Few movies to go. I'm not sure wich movie, if it was Ice Age 3 or this one. But we saw it with friends in the theatre and jokes that we get older we still gonna see Ice Age movies. It's true though 😂 Ice Age 4 is great. For me even better than the other sequels. The first one is still the best. Grandma was funny as hell. It's great they introduce funny new characters every time. The Pirates was a little bit unnecessary though.

It's kinda a decent finale for Ice Age, it has good action, Captain Gutt is epic and an effective villain, and the ending is a perfect conclusion, but the movie is Super Cliche and mostly boring for like 60% of its runtime 3/10

This one is another fun entry that keeps the franchise's familiar humour and charm alive. Scrat remains hilarious, while Manny's family storyline adds some heart. The animation is colorful, the new characters are entertaining, and the adventure moves quickly. But the story is fairly simple, some jokes feel repetitive, and it doesn't have the emotional depth of the earlier films. Still, a fun nostalgic watch.

Uma sequela preguiçosa, barulhenta e sem ideias novas. Embora a animação seja bonita e o Scrat continue a divertir, o argumento focado em piratas é fraco e o filme torna-se cansativo muito depressa.

Now this should have been the third movie, not the Dawn of Dinosaurs. Felt very much like the second movie. Just a solid Ice Age story, but I worry it might be over done with the last two films.
