Kevin L @Lakeman Oct 3, 2026 Wonderful film. Strong work by director McGinnis & writer Ward. The film ends with the same feel/tone it began with; a really cohesive sense. The story line is straight forward enough, with the chosen details being very relatable for those in long-term relationships; the struggles w/ the sense of obligation, guilt, betrayal, and remorse. The dialogue feels so authentic & grounded. There's no reaching for some grand epiphany or comment on humanity. This is the story of two people whose marriages have reached fragile, or even unreconcilable states. Impressive performances from Harris & Huebel in the lead roles. I liked both of them as characters. There was no real phoniness about them. Dee is an esp. great character, & Harris plays it nearly note perfect. Was not crazy about the ending.
