On the jock front, Gooding is so believable in his role as Jerry's selfish, pea-brained, wide receiver client that the Dallas Cowboys might consider signing him to complement Michael Irvin. Go to Full Review

Cruise brilliantly portrays a man on the brink of losing his marbles and his grip on reality as he knows it: he's hilarious, sad and desperate but still seems charming in this 1996 movie. Go to Full Review

Zellweger's rumpled, anti-star quality plays in perfect contrast to Preston's buff and polish. She redeems Jerry Maguire and Tom Cruise, too by making him human again. Go to Full Review

Leonard F @ljf1017 1d I thought it was good. A love story weaved around two alpha males finally figuring out what's really important. Cuba Gooding is perfect as the self-centered WR who is all about money. I think this is one of Tom Cruise's deeper performances as he goes from on top, to losing his job and having only one client. He almost loses all his marbles several times, and then at the very end finally realizes waht is important See more James P 2d Throughly enjoyed it, saw it for the first time in 2026 and loved it. The cast is great. Didn’t realise it would turn into a romantic comedy but it worked. Cruise and Zellweger are perfectly cast to make it work. Loved the American football parts as Cuba Gooding is a fantastic character with plenty of laughs. The young kid was great and hilarious. A really feel good movie which should be made more often in cinema. See more Romas M @Romas Jan 18 Greetings from Lithuania. "Jerry Maguire" (1996) a great mix of comedy, drama, romance and inspirational tale about finding your true purpose and passion in life. This is a great movie that I always enjoyed since seeing it for the first time in 1997 and since then I watched it multiple times. Screenplay and story by Cameron Crowe were excellent - it's a smart and funny film that just bring smile to my face. Acting was superb by everyone involved. There are great and memorable lines in this film and show my the money isn't even the best - you had me at hello kind of wins the crown for me. Overall, "Jerry Maguire" is a great movie that inspires, at least me. It is superbly paced, acted and directed movie with terrific screenplay and ideas. See more Eye C @ECinc Jan 17 It has being long since the last time I watched this movie, and if I liked then now I loved. Cuba Gooding Jr. makes the performance of a life time. And the last line it really got me. "And I wish you MY KIND of success." See more Read all reviews
