It isn't able to sustain itself and can't hold the viewer interest beyond a point. Eventually, the light-heartedness gives way to familiar emotional tropes as the predictable family drama sets in. Go to Full Review Anupama Chopra Hindustan Times Jan 9, 2017

One of the enduring problems with Balki's films persists -- his crackling concept runs out of steam. It's almost as if he spends so much of his creative energy coming up with the high-wire idea that he has none left to flesh out the narrative around it. There is so much to be said about changing roles in today's India, and films would do well to reflect on this great churn. But R. Balki, like most of Bollywood, would rather not look outside and learn. Go to Full Review Meena Iyer The Times of India Oct 30, 2017

Ki and Ka is worth a ticket because it shows how there is nothing wrong with the man wearing the apron and the women wearing her ambition. Go to Full Review Rachit Gupta Filmfare Oct 30, 2017
Apart from the writing, there are issues with the editing of Ki And Ka. The gaping holes in quality in these two departments can't be saved, even by the peppy music of Mithoon, Meet Bros. Anjjan and Ilaiyaraaja. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

yash b @yashbansal Nov 14, 2020 "Ki & Ka" does have some good messages and talking points, but they are presented in a pretty dull way. If this movie was just a bit more entertaining, I think there was some potential here. Since the central focus in this movie is a romance, it is important for there to be chemistry, and there just isn't because Arjun Kapoor's performance is so dry and bland. I have liked him in other movies, but in this movie, he almost put me to sleep at times. The movie has some progressive points to make, which is nice, but it was easy to overlook for me because I didn't particularly enjoy the storyline of the movie. The trailer looked so promising. At least if Delhi's modern society can start to flirt with the idea of house husbands than that surely is a sign of societal progress? Yet there's something so dreary and dull about this flick...I gave up watching it after the first 30 minutes. Uggh.
