Estranged sisters - Kate and Angie - haven't spoken since Angie left for college and left Kate to care for their ailing father. In a show of reconciliation, several years after moving out, Angie invites Kate to her bachelorette party held at a remote house booked on a home-sharing app. The women are unaware that by booking this house, they're walking into a trap set in motion by a disturbed family of amateur killers that is out for blood to right a cosmic wrong.

Here's a wacky and insouciant horror-comedy sketch that delivers as much in its economical 80 minutes as a whole lot of boilerplate scary movies manage as they drag on for a whole lot longer.

While writer-director Elliot Feld and his co-writer/producer Daniel Moya miss the mark most of the time, that little bit of effort gives the movie some scrappy underdog charm.

Everything here is competently done and fans of the cast will more than likely appreciate it more than casual viewers might.

The significance of a barbed wire-covered baseball bat gives this a certain cult cachet, but not much.

Slow, silly and toneless sum up the final product, though with some sharpening and polish Feld could hit his stride as a storyteller and I hope he does.

It's got the right ingredients to be a capable invasion thriller that's undercut by unnecessary and bad comedy.

i didn't think the story was necessarily bad, but almost everything else was. the production/dialog/acting made it almost unwatchable. absolutely would not recommend.

Quite clumsy and even dull at times but it's not without some special charm. Feld's performance is quite solid. Grant Lyon steals it though.

Hmm, my old review appears to have been deleted/lost. The only thing I remember about this is that it was an absolutely terrible film on almost every conceivable level and should be avoided at all costs.

This movie was ridiculously bad.

A really fun flick! I rented this on iTunes after reading an interview with the director Elliot Feld; The team’s approach was an homage to old-school Carpenter/Raimi and it peaked my interest. It’s a low-budget indie, so I knew what I was getting into, but the acting, directing, cinematography, and dynamic synth-based score was honestly beyond what I expected. The “80’s throwback horror” thing has been done a lot lately, but this feels genuinely inspired by the creativity in the filmmaking of early horror/thriller classics. It starts a little slow, but crescendos into a really fun 3rd act. It’s a mature, sincere and fresh 80 min Friday night Thriller/Satire.
