Dallas H @RT53171010 Apr 23, 2025 I never really can do a complete suspension of disbelief to watch a western film featuring a crooning cowboy in the lead role and a co-star who uses his real-life nickname to be his character's name. See more Jan 8, 2016 good singing cowboy western See more Jun 16, 2013 This is not a Western. It's a Hollywood musical. It's a chick flick too. It was made when Western Swing music was popular. But even the music in the movie is weak. And why are they riding horses and using horses and wagons when they have cars and trucks? And in 1944 there was a war going on. Weren't they rationing gas back then? See more Jul 29, 2011 awesome muscial western in the roy rogers/dale evans tradition though i just realized the title "borrows" from the gene autry movie in old santa fe. See more Oct 14, 2009 This is a Roy Rogers film, the version I saw was from the Mill Creek Roy Rogers Collection of 20 RR Movies. So it was only 60 minutes long, I am told that Alpha Video has one that is 90 Minutes long. Roy was a pretty skinny fella in this movie, but him and trigger saved the day as they do in all there movies and he got the pretty girl, of course Dale Evans. Roy saves a Rodeo Company in this one from going under and being taken over by the bad guys. Lots of singing. This would never make it in today?s world, but its still a good film. Cars, trucks, and horses in this one. 3 stars that?s it. See more Oct 13, 2007 Roy Rogers films are so likeable and easy going it is hard not to like them. This is a "B" musical western, fair songs, well worn plot idea but its still entertaining and fun. See more Read all reviews
