Neil B @Filmboy666 6 days ago the first bond movie with Roger Moore as 007 this is only an average movie but lifted by the great soundtrack by Wings See more Huntin P @PaxVobiscum80 Sep 28, 2026 We all know how Bond likes his vodka martini, but how does he take his coffee? Black, like his b*tches? In this one, Moore's debut in the part, Bond gets a case of voodoo and has to go up against that guy from Alien (1979). I was about to write Harlem but I'm not so sure, now. Maybe it was all New Orleans, or am I lost? Wherever he is, there's bound to be trouble. Expect crocodiles (or were they alligators), afros, snakes, tarot cards, plenty of boom boom, and one of the best Bond movie songs, courtesy of Paul McCartney. It's been noted, none of the great Bond songs were ever considered for Oscars, but nowadays the crappiest ditties win golden statuettes, third rate crap that couldn't stand comparison with the best of the classics, lyrically, musically or in terms of the singing. Hey-ho. Menace and mischief, and with a playful air. See more stephenpaul C @ash20261234567890 Sep 13, 2026 The worldwide gross is $126,400,000.00. See more Matthew H @RT22829440 Jun 26, 2026 This was painful to watch. They made James Bond into a bumbling idiot stumbling from one capture to another. When he gets caught and Solitaire is also captured he doesn't seem to be the least bit concerned. I kept shouting at the screen "Come on Bond, DO SOMETHING!". The best part of this movie is Paul McCartney's theme song, which they took every opportunity to put in the movie (that is actually a good idea to distract the audience from having to watch this guy stumble around on the screen ruining the reputation of the skill of James Bond.) Jayne Seymour as Solitaire is pleasant to watch, she's just lovely and the emotions playing on her face as certain cards are drawn is fun to watch. I wanted Bond to shoot every one of these villains, but even more I was hoping he wouldn't fall for at least one of their traps, but no, every bloody one. So yes, if you're watching all the movies, you'll need to sit through this one as well. See more IAM M @IAM1655 Jun 7, 2026 Roger Moore was brilliant in his first role as James Bond. Baron Samedi was a far more better villain than Dr. Kananga. Tee-Hee's death at the end was hilarious. The scenes in San Monique were pretty boring. See more Read all reviews
