After the death of the British prime minister, the world's most powerful leaders gather in London to pay their respects. If it wasn’t for the more believable premise, the moments of fatherhood and Gerard Butler’s performance, this would also be a huge fail. For some audiences that won’t be enough and it’ll come off cold but for others, there is some fun to be had here.

London Has Fallen continues the action and intensity of Olympus Has Fallen, delivering thrilling set pieces and high-stakes danger on a global scale. Gerard Butler returns as Mike Banning, bringing physicality and determination, while Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, and Angela Bassett reprise their roles, providing continuity and strong performances. The chemistry among the cast helps anchor the story and adds emotional stakes, even when the plot falters. The screenplay is weaker than the original, with underdeveloped plot points and minor inconsistencies that occasionally disrupt immersion. Direction maintains the fast-paced tone, but character development and story cohesion sometimes feel rushed. Despite these flaws, the film is entertaining and keeps fans engaged with exciting action, familiar characters, and franchise continuity. It may not surpass the original, but it’s a solid, enjoyable sequel worth watching.

I wonder what causes the "expert" critics to give this excellent film a very low rating, much lower that the general audience? Could it be deep racial bias? Me thinks so.
