A rare down to earth movie In the top 10 of my own list. Inspires reflection long after viewing. At 90 years old this old guy is searching the secrets of the mystery we call life. Not the answer,of course, but a way of dealing with the age old question of WHY. I loved the honesty in the presentation of trying to deal with this primary debacle in our search for "True Meaning" of our exsistance as humans. Well done!

Harry Dean Stanton remains as calm, cool, and collected as he always has been. David Lynch brings a nice conversation about existentialism to the bar scenes, and the fiesta with Harry singing mariachi is a well-received treat. This is a heavy, real, and deep dive into getting older and how we deal with it as humans.

flashback to what feels long ago showing this at the little cinema George railroad Martin saved I worked at. anyways in not ten years so much has changed most of the cast gone and they don't make little character movies like this I'm pretty sure...not perfect but real and special cuz of the timing
