It’s funny, charming, genuinely romantic, and exactly the kind of movie I wish we had more of right now. There’s a warmth to this movie that a lot of modern rom-coms seem to have forgotten. Madelaine Petsch and Jacob Scipio have a really lovely chemistry, and the whole cast gives the movie a sense of fun that carries you through it. I just enjoyed watching something that actually wants you to feel something. It isn’t trying to be cynical or clever. It’s a romantic comedy, and it embraces that. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. I finished it with a big smile on my face. If you miss movies that are allowed to be fun, romantic and heartfelt, give this one a chance.
