After an overdose nearly takes her life, Laura Birch escapes from the high-stakes pressure of the advertising world to return to her roots. Accepting an invitation home from her estranged mother, Laura hopes the time away in the secluded English village will help calm the demons raging inside of her. She soon discovers that the locals of the town are all protecting an unspeakably dark secret--a secret that involves not only her mother but her own terrifying destiny as well.

I fell asleep the first time through, and the dream I had about it was more interesting than the actual movie. I usually enjoy slow-paced horror, but I think this one just didn’t quite get it. I also think it relied too heavily on audiences being ‘horrified’ at the sight of nude, elderly bodies, and old people as sexual beings. This topic and vibe are usually exactly my thing, so I was really disappointed in it. I think it may have been better served as a mini series so the creepy mystery vibe could really shine, and so the ending wouldn’t feel so abrupt.

Just confusing… made no sense… wouldn’t recommend.. only if you would like to be confused for 1.5 hrs.. watch if you feel like watching something that doesn’t make any sense whatsoever
