When the film stays with the furry four-legged creatures, it is eminently watchable. Go to Full Review

Ohh My Dog is stretched, occasionally stereotypical and not without its flaws. But it also has its heart firmly in the right place Go to Full Review
Swaroop Kodur The Federal Sep 16, 2026
The film is every bit an homage to the legendary polymath’s playful and adventurous spirit, featuring prodigious children, unconventional detectives and inexplicable yet tender bonds that are tested but never broken. Go to Full Review
Kartik Bhardwaj The New Indian Express Sep 16, 2026
3.5/5
On a plot level, Ohh My Dog can feel a bit convenient at times. One dog's howl for help can't really gather an army of strays. It's tough to believe a child can have Sherlock-sharp detective skills. But the film hooks you with its emotions. Go to Full Review

Strong performances, particularly from Maahi Rai, Pankaj Tripathi, and the two canine stars, ensure that the film remains engaging even when the writing falters. Go to Full Review

Although Amit Rai undermines his screenplay’s impact through stubborn bloat, he displays empathy towards his characters, especially the poverty-stricken Prince, as well as a strong sense of justice. Go to Full Review

siddhartha M @RT83783247 2 days ago Amit Rai’s Ohh My Dog is hands-down the best film of 2026. Stripping away unnecessary melodrama, it delivers a sharp, deeply moving story about loyalty, survival, and unconditional love that hits hard from start to finish. While Pankaj Tripathi delivers his usual solid performance, the entire film is carried on the back of Bruno the Dog, whose portrayal of Oscar is nothing short of incredible. Bruno brings a raw, expressive depth to Oscar—a stray searching for his missing owner—that completely outshines any human performance this year. He doesn't rely on cheap tricks or CGI; every look of confusion, grief, and fierce determination feels completely real. Give him the Best Actor award already, because no one else comes close. By highlighting real Indian strays and pairing emotional weight with a tight, engaging narrative, Ohh My Dog sets a new standard for storytelling. It’s unforgettable, genuine, and easily the highlight of the year. See more Sharang L @Scribe187 6 days ago A great first half is marred by a repetitive, stretched second. Still, a charming, heart-warming tale. Do suspend your disbelief a wee bit though. See more Kashika P @RT51526591 Oct 3, 2026 What a movie 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Really liked it See more Read all reviews
