On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to penetrate the walls of a fortified church and destroy a radio transmitter. As the soldiers approach their target, they soon begin to realize that there's more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. Making their way to an underground lab, the outnumbered men stumble upon a sinister experiment that forces them into a vicious battle against an army of the undead.

Enjoyable...I didn't care about a single character in this movie, and I didn't care who got blown up...I didn't feel invested, but it was action-heavy enough and well-acted enough to appreciate...once it commits, it's really entertaining.

Overlord takes many elements you've seen before and creates a mashup that's able to deliver some gory fun, riveting suspense, zombie horrors, and terrifying depictions of modern war in equal measure.

If you enjoyed Wolfenstein in any capacity, you would like this movie. If you love action, this is a great movie. If you are looking for lots of body horror, this is your thing. If you are looking for a deep, think piece, this isn’t your deal.

"Overlord" is completely preposterous. It focuses on a completely fictional and impossible blk paratrooper on D-day in WWII. There was not one single AA paratrooper on D-day. How would blks feel if there were a movie that showed whts as part of the all blk "Buffalo Soldiers" who bravely held the line against the Nazi’s in Italy? There would be wht boys telling blk boys that they were wrong about the Buffalo Soldiers being an all-black force, because they saw a movie that showed wht men in the Buffalo Soldiers regiment. AA’s would not like that. Blks have done many amazing things throughout history - they don’t need to pretend to have done things they didn’t do. This movie is completely historically inaccurate and misleading.
