After a deadly earthquake destroys his home in Peruvian rainforest, a young bear makes his way to England in search of a new home. The bear, dubbed "Paddington" for the London train station, finds shelter with the family of Henry and Mary Brown. Although Paddington's amazement at urban living soon endears him to the Browns, someone else has her eye on him: Taxidermist Millicent Clyde has designs on the rare bear and his hide.

On paper, this film could easily have been just another "Peter Rabbit" or "Alvin and the Chipmunks" type of film. The bottom of the barrel children entertainment that is only suited for babysitting little babies that don't know better. But rest assured, the difference is all in execution, this is not just a good family film, it is a great one. It is effortlessly charming and sure to cheer anyone up who is in a bad mood.

Best British movie of all time. The villain is amazing, the story is a great way to modernise the books by Michael Bond, the cast is incredible and the villain is wonderful! I wish we could have a Paddington film that could try and be like the original compared to the agony the franchise is in right now.

Can't recommend it less. What an absolute joke. These were precious minutes I will never get back from my life. I could have used them better watching my neighbor's dog eat his own shit.

I loved this movie. I'm 76 and had thought I was too old. Not true. Great cast. Bear was delightful and Nicole Kidman excellent. Great way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
