Parallel ultimately works, but just barely... keep your expectations earthbound.

Parallel is the multiverse movie for people who usually find them too hectic by half.

Parallel is a tense and disturbing sci-fi thriller that explores the different pathways of alternate realities. What begins as a family confronting an emotional crisis takes a frightening turn into an unexpected labyrinth of consequences.

While the plot of Parallel can get complicated if you think too deeply about it, the film shines in the performances that Deadwyler and Aldis and Edwin Hodge bring to this family.

I thoroughly enjoyed the acting, directing, and the plot. I don’t normally watch movies with mid ratings, but I was pleasantly surprised. The film deserves more credit. Perhaps it’s because this sci-fi thriller doesn’t involve the usual suspects. IDK It’s worth the watch.

The acting was great, although a bit simplified centering around just 3 characters. The premise starts off pretty cool but it doesn't really explore the nature or origins of the multiverse as well as it could have. The tension was palpable but it doesn't really go anywhere. And to just take a life and simply claim it as your own without any consequences.. makes it a rather cheap cop-out ending. It could've been great, exploring an unending paradox or a butterfly effect, but it ended up being a missed opportunity with the writer taking the easy way out where we're given a hollow 'happy' ending, but expecting more than just a very short runtime. Very unfortunate.

The series is based on an good idea but the execution is sloopy. The writing of the main character is very bad und the quality of the acting is quite uneven.

This is definitely the cheapest "Multiverse-themed movie" ever made. A cast of only 3 people inside a house and the surrounding forest. You can imagine what you get. That doesn't mean that the flick is lame or bad, but it's obviously simple. Still, within its simplicity is somehow interesting as one never knows if the lady is just crazy or if there actually are different realities. All in all it's watchable, though not really captivating or tense. 5/10 points!

Enjoyed the film but hated the ending, considering everything that happened .

Definitely better than expected. No pun intended, but I felt out of the loop. I wish there was more to the plot than just the looping.
