Critics Consensus

Further refining his provocative vision, writer-director Brandon Cronenberg uses Possessor's potentially over-the-top premise as a delivery mechanism for stylishly disturbing thrills.

With its grisly images of physical transference and its sharp, if deeply fatalistic, view of human independence, Possessor may be the smartest scary movie of the year.

Good break from the usual crap they usually show in theaters this time of year. Smart, creative, and visually interesting.

This was a fantastic movie. The concept is completely original and the execution was perfect. If you like a mindbending trip and good body horror then Possessor is for you.

Good plot that kept it’s validity and purpose, with uniqueness to the story. Could have had a few more novel events, and less violence/gore.
