There are some things that make sense to do in a video game. But unfortunately those same things don't make sense in a movie.

The movie had interesting ideas. Visuals are fine outside the bad cgi. The town looks great. There was too much back and forth instead of a straightforward mystery and the changes can be jarring to long time fans. If only it was longer and did not make certain plot points and characters pointless it could have been better. I enjoyed it for what it is and even the last 2 movies despite all 3 being terrible movies. Watch with an open mind.
