It sounds like just another urban legend -- a videotape filled with nightmarish images leads to a phone call foretelling the viewer's death in exactly seven days. Newspaper reporter Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) is skeptical of the story until four teenagers all die mysteriously exactly one week after watching just such a tape. Allowing her investigative curiosity to get the better of her, Rachel tracks down the video and watches it. Now she has just seven days to unravel the mystery.

It has a few iconic horror scenes and a very specific vibe. But it left me with far more questions than answers and I'm not sure I care to learn what they are...A bit of a frustrating watch despite looking pretty cool.

So disappointed! I waited years to finally watch it! I heard it was an incredible all time classic. It was so weak, so poor, not scary! Dam it, what a waste of 2 hours! I would throw this film down the bloody well too

Somewhat of a cult classic, The Ring sort of reinvigorated the horror trope of pass it along to survive. While I think it definitely could have been scarier, and I’m not as big on Gore Verbinski’s visual style as some, there’s no denying this movie’s influence, and it’s undoubtedly made with great skill.

I mean an average movie may be go and watch this once but definitely it had some decent horror that has zero logic and some times weird but still worth a watch its not recommend for kids for sure and I am not gonna watch this again
