Yet another feature comedy that began life as a TV show sketch and is still stuck in infancy (not to mention infantilism).

The creators of Mr. Show bring the hilarious saga of Ronnie Dobbs to the big screen. David Cross and Bob Odenkirk deliver two of the year's funniest performances...as of June, this is the year's best comedy.

Love him or hate him. Ronnie Dobbs deserved to have his story told. He just gets a little drunk sometimes. You know how it is.

Irreverent humour is the order here with a barrage of sketch comedy mixed into a central plot in which a reality TV star comes to terms with his fame. The surprisingly good cast do their best but a few exceptional moments, I found the screenplay and improvised comedy mostly falls flat.
