Schwartzman is cautious but stubbornly optimistic, while Murray is possessed by the mania of near-despair... They make the best and most disconcerting odd couple that American movies have produced in a long while. Go to Full Review Desson Thomson Washington Post Mar 17, 2014
Rushmore is an almost indefinable genre of its own. A comedy with a menacing edge? An ironic romance? Hard to call. Anderson, the director and co-writer, and Wilson, co-writer, have a vision like no one else's. Go to Full Review Jonathan Foreman New York Post Mar 17, 2014

David F @dfulmer Aug 20, 2026 A mannered, highly stylized film about a three way romance between a high school boy, his teacher, and a parent of two students. It’s funny in a weirdly formal way. See more bruce F @bruce999 Aug 4, 2026 very enjoyable to watch. See more Dom D @ReallyDude Jul 19, 2026 My favorite movie of all time (for personal reasons). I think the characters the acting and the plot all moves along nice. I have watched it over 1000 times so I have "some" critiques of it, but that's not stuff I thought in the first watch of it, or first 100 maybe even. I love the growth of the main character in a short time and I really love the scenes that make you just laugh every time you see them. Magnus is one of the funniest characters written and the little feud with max and Mr.Herman was really funny of course. I would say more, but its a movie that's best watched with 0 spoilers and just the story as its told. See more Tania G @Tag2out Jul 5, 2026 Weird but very good. I’d watch this again to see what I missed the first time. See more Erik B @Atma-X Apr 13, 2026 Better every time I watch it. This movie is a masterpiece. AEB says: I love that Bill Murray is always smoking cigarettes. Sometimes two at a time. See more Levi J @Lev77 Apr 1, 2026 Hilarious, clever, early classic from Wes Anderson with great performances from the young Jason Schwartzman and the amazing Bill Murray! See more Read all reviews
