See more S A @Moviepopcornjoy Aug 27, 2026 I enjoy this movie. It kept me guessing. I felt the story was well written and acted. See more Ashequl I @Tofa13 Aug 24, 2026 David Koepp’s Secret Window (2004) is a sharp, fast-paced psychological thriller that excels at maintaining constant suspense. Adapted from a Stephen King novella, the story follows a secluded, struggling writer who is stalked and threatened by a bizarre stranger accusing him of stolen work. Johnny Depp gives a fantastic, highly engaging performance as the eccentric protagonist, while John Turturro brings a menacing, eerie presence to the screen. With a compact screenplay and a perfect 96-minute runtime, the movie never drags or feels tedious. While the climactic twist offers a dramatic and memorable reveal, it strays into slightly theatrical psychological tropes that sacrifice real-world logic. Nevertheless, as a lean suspense flick, it remains a thoroughly enjoyable watch. See more Jagdpanzer T @RT44446946 Aug 20, 2026 It's not bad, and it held my interest, but holy crap was it predictable. I paused the movie like 15 minutes in and told my wife my theory about what would happen and turned out to be right about everything including granular details. That type of predictive power isn't the product of some heightened intelligence. It's the product of a lack of originality on the part of the writers. Writers who in this case were clearly "inspired" by the works of Poe, whose works I've thoroughly read, in some cases many times. As a result, I felt like a friggin precog watching this film.
