Eric J Jan 30 Delightful movie, made the old fashion way. No computer graphics, no explosions, no improbable stunts. Plenty of singing, dancing, and humor. Overall a very entertaining, upbeat movie. Gene Kelly demonstrated WILD and BOUNTFULS of automatic feel-good fodder from the all-time bright energy & non-stop energy song and dance numbers back to back to back while Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds matched the energy to a T. Kelly showcases his vision effervescently with true syncopation as director, choreographer and actor. Singin’ in the Rain also has this nostalgic, classic quality as it takes place during the transition from silent films to talkies. I genuinely enjoyed this flick and was bewildered by the dazzling display of excellence. You could tell there was an adoration of love and care. It literally feels jammed pack. Kelly definitely did all that he wanted to and MORE. Your attention incapable of wavering for a second. Sincerity and joy leaps off the screen, as a love letter to the craft.
