Billy R @SonicMalice 6 hrs ago I'm very much a purist Slenderman fan who hates to see bad takes on him, so I avoided this film like the plague. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its creative visuals and top tier OST. I remember what it was like talking about Slenderman and believing in him as a kid growing up in the 2010s, and if nothing else, this movie felt just like it — a nice throwback. It doesn't have a single scare, the characters aren't deep, and it couldn't be more trite and predictable. However, I can't deny it's an interesting time capsule with enough moments of charm and creativity to stay fun. This is a middling PG-13 horror movie, but it's the absolute height of the category. You could take Slenderman seriously, or you could laugh at it. Do either when it makes sense, and you might enjoy it. This is a hidden gem. Super spooky psychological thriller with an ominous small town vibe. Plus i loved all the characters. It was one of the best horrors Ive seen in awhile. Ignore the hate on this one and give it a watch. Think: IT meets The Ring; but better than The Ring. See more SammySam18 T @RT61428428 Jun 1, 2026 This movie is poorly made, it's like the director decided to copy and paste between "the ring" and "truth or dare" and slapped slenderman on there and call it a day. It's like they never took the opportunity to read the creepypasta or play the video games of this character. I would rank it higher if they just remade it, do a deeper research on the lore and the character itself than just copy and paste the same ideas from other movie. If you like it fine, but this is how I felt over 9 years now and as a creepypasta and horror story fan . See more Read all reviews
